This book revisits, in its essential aspects, the study titled Coordinates of the Imaginary in the Work of Mircea Eliade, published by Tipo Moldova in Iași in 2009. The publication of this new edition was motivated both by the favorable reception the work received from readers (my most loyal readers being my former undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students) and by the author’s need to bring his research in line with recent developments in the field of fantastology and scholarship on the work of Mircea Eliade. Last but not least, this edition seeks to address the issues that arose in the publication of the previous version. The reissue was not limited to a simple reprint of the text, but involved painstaking work to update and expand the commentary, as well as to bring the bibliography up to date.
