Apart from a few requests for exemption from certain organizational provisions submitted by or addressed to certain pontiffs between 1322 and 1408, this volume contains statutes and regulations relating to university life that marked Parisian education between 1215, the year of the reform undertaken by Cardinal Legate Robertus de Courson, and 1452, the year of the revisions by Cardinal Legate Guillelmus de Estoutevilla, by bringing back into force the statutes approved by the University of Paris at the beginning of 1251.

During the 13th–15th centuries, university dynamics were marked not only by the revival and reinforcement of these regulations, but also by adjustments, limitations, or revocations of some of them, with repercussions on the intellectual, moral, and professional profile of generations of students and professors.

The "Graeca et Latina" collection contains translations, commentaries, studies, and teaching tools designed to increase knowledge of Greek and Latin texts and authors from different eras.
